Best for stubborn pockets & body sculpting
Typical areas ideal for Cryolipolysis including waist, arms, inner thighs, lower abdomen, back and ‘muffin tops’.
What is Cryolipolysis?
Despite a healthy lifestyle and exercise, sometimes it is difficult to lose those stubborn areas of fat. Cryolipolysis is a safe alternative to liposuction that will help you reduce pockets of fat like muffin tops, post baby bellies or inner thighs. The fat reduction is non-invasive, non-surgical with no downtime which may help you achieve a more toned appearance.
How does it work?
Cryolipolysis a non-surgical, medical grade alternative to liposuction. The treatment selectively targets the water content of the fat cell by effectively freezing it for a predetermined time, which then damages the fat cells but not the surrounding tissue. Your body then begins a natural removal process of the fat cells via the lymphatic system for 6-12 weeks.
Where does the fat go?
Your body will take the dead fat cells away through your lymphatic system. They then pass through the body naturally and leave through means of urine.
What happens during treatment?
Before any treatment you will have a consultation with your PPP doctor to discuss any aesthetics goals or ask any questions you may have.
After a treatment plan is agreed, we will begin to target the selected areas. Your PPP doctor will place the device on the nominated area safely reducing the localized temperature. The fat cells are frozen and the cells subsequently die. Your body will take 6-12 weeks to remove these dead cells at which stage the fat reduction may be visible.
After the treatment you’re able to resume your normal daily activities with no required downtime.
Is this treatment permanent?
Yes! Once the fat cells are removed from the body they are gone forever, and as our body contains a fixed number of fat cells they will not reproduce. However excessive calories intake could lead to remaining fat cells to increase in size.
How long will it take?
The treatment will take 30, 45 or 60 minutes based on the size of the area. Only 1 treatment is required for the selected area.
Is this treatment safe?
This treatment has been fully certified and approved in UK and Europe.
Are there any side effects?
There are no adverse long-term affects associated with Cryolipolysis. It is proven that our skin and fat are affected at different temperatures, therefore you can freeze the fat without damaging skin and tissue.
What is the after-care?
- Keep treated skin away from any excess heat and no hair removal for 48 hours.
- Avoid using ‘active’ products for 2-3 days before and after the treatment.
- Drink 1.5 -2 litres of water per day.
- For your own comfort, do not consume a large meal immediately before your procedure, or directly afterwards.
- We recommend avoiding alcohol and caffeine on the day of your treatment.
What are cautions and contraindications?
Cryolipolysis is unsuitable for pregnant and breast-feeding women. Your PPP doctor will discuss further medical contraindications during your face-to-face consultation.
